B. is a 49 year old divorced mother of three. She was diagnosed with breast cancer soon after declaring bankruptcy of her small business. She works in temporary jobs to repay her debts while trying to make ends meet. But since starting chemotherapy, she has not been able to work. Her family is struggling to pay for even basic needs. B. also has to endure a long trip to the hospital where she is being treated, so her transportation costs are high. A Lemonade Fund grant helps B. with these very basic needs so she can focus on her recovery and get back on her feet.
